I was a part of the scouting team that hailed Galchenyuk using the first overall pick, therefore I understand that the mental make from the player and the simple fact he willingly came back and not only played but contributed from the playoffs is still a testament to his skill and character. But with his effort in all 3 zones, strong skating, and hockey sense/vision at the zone, he deserves to be the NHL draft pick this year. His draft stock has plummeted since the beginning of the year and also his playoff was full of defensive mistakes and a snuff offensive game. Paterson is an ideal example at how getting hot at the perfect time can salvage a mediocre first half of this season as I firmly believe he cemented his status as a top 60 prospect following his playoff run. Even believed https://dat-e-baseonline.com/%EC%95%88%EC%A0%84%EB%86%80%EC%9D%B4%ED%84%B0/ enters the draft since the best ranked player, I believed that Nail Yakupov's movie was really poor. David Burstyn - Several OHL players that I thought played quite well in particular Matt Murray and Scott Laughton. I thought Jake Paterson helped his cause greater than any other participant.
